Global Performance System

The Global Performance System (GPS) is an operations management system that provides the framework for managing health, environment, safety (HES), security and social issues within Newport's Upstream organisation. It is based on self-assessment and designed for continual improvement in all aspects of business performance.
Newport's GPS has core elements that are aligned with the basic continual improvement cycle of Plan-Do-Check/Correct-Review. The elements are nationally and internationally recognised as key components of best practice management systems that drive business excellence.
